The Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust is leveraging AI-powered X-ray tools to speed up the process of lung cancer diagnosis. The tool, funded by a national £20 million government investment, is helping to prioritise the most urgent cases. It assesses over 800 X-rays per day and reports the results to hospital staff, who can then check its findings and contact the patients as appropriate.
