Dean Clarke

Managing Director

Dean was given the opportunity to work for the company in 1998 instead of going to University. Having started out in sales, he became Sales Director in 2005, helping drive the company forward, not only with sales but with his vision of developing the best Unified Technology Company in the North East and beyond. Dean was recently made Managing Director and has been the main driver of our rebrand from Yarm Computers to Lucid Technology Solutions. In his spare time he still enjoys playing football and follows Middlesbrough home and away, he also loves travelling and spending time with his wife and 2 daughters.


Technology Director

Paul started work with the company in 1994 in a sales and business development role. In 1998 along with Glenn he completed a management buyout heading up Business Development and taking a leading role in managing the company. Paul has always had a passion for learning and new technologies and has been responsible for many of the new services the company has offered to our partners. As a Microsoft Certified Engineer Paul developed a fundamental understanding of required specifications for any given client project on IT projects and has also been at the heart of our communications offerings. Whilst maintaining his business development role he has combined these skill sets to be our lead for new and emerging technologies as our Technology Director. Outside of work, Paul enjoys times with friends and family, is an avid fisherman and passionate about Rugby and Motorsports.

Glenn Lowry

Sales Director

Glenn has worked for the company since 1989 making him the longest standing employee then in 1998 completed a management buyout. He started his career working in Sales and progressed into an engineering role building PC’s and servers for over 20 years for the local authority, schools and colleges. He then moved into Telecoms, specialising in VoIP and PBX phone systems. As a natural progression in the IT security and support market, CCTV and Door Entry systems have become a fundamental part of his job, working with clients to find a suitable solution for their business. Now as Sales Director he also oversees all quotes and agreed sales. Outside of work, Glenn enjoys family time and socialising with friends and looks for any excuse to take his boat out, fishing, or to fire up the BBQ for the family.

Our History

We have successfully completed 30 years in business as Yarm Computers Ltd, growing from 2 members of staff to over 20. The dynamic of technology has grown over the years and continues to grow, this has allowed us to expand as a company and focus on providing a wider range of support to our Business clients.

In order to stay up to date with ongoing technology advancements and to ensure we continue to provide the best service possible, we have decided to join Yarm Computers and our three other companies, YC Business Solutions, Dotuk and Synergy, to create Lucid Transparent Technology Solutions.

Our Ambition

The dynamic of technology is dictating a different direction for our company and is emphasising a need to focus on support for B2B clients. Our ambition is to expand our portfolio of B2B clients and focus solely on offering the best technology solutions for their needs. In order to achieve this, we have increased the amount of services we provide, offering joined up technology solutions such as telecoms, IT support, connectivity, bespoke application and website design, CCTV and door access solutions. Focusing solely on B2B will allow us to apply full attention to upcoming technology, allowing us to consistently offer our clients the most up to date solutions in technology. Although our ambition is to expand we still want to maintain a personal service and emphasise that we are the same team and we will continue to provide the same service.
